What has been proven to significantly aid healing is the relationship that forms between the client and the therapist. My primary approach builds upon that. I benefitted from excellent clinical training in traditional orientations - cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic (Jungian), object relations, and practiced those for many years.
The most effect agent of change I have found comes from my own long-term practice of insight, or vipassana meditation, often referred to as mindfulness. The effects of contemplative and concentration practices are a boost to any relationship. Such training dramatically increases my ability to be present with you.
I'd love to bring my decades of psychotheraputic and spiritual practices to aid in transfoming your pain into vitality. You don't have to be a Buddhist, or even meditate in order to benefit from some of the teachings and practices. I'd feel honored to share what works, and help you carve out the next stage in your life.
